New patients
Your first visit, minute by minute
Most dental anxiety is really fear of the unknown. So here's the entire first visit, laid out in advance — what happens, how long it takes, and what it costs to find out where you stand. No surprises is a design principle here.
The visit
What actually happens
The same sequence for every new patient — nervous first-timers included.
A welcome, not a queue (5 min)
You're expected — appointments aren't stacked, so you won't age in a waiting room. Settle into the lounge; there's no clipboard interrogation, just a short chat about what brings you in.
Your story first (10 min)
Before anyone looks in your mouth, Dr. Vernica listens: what's bothering you, your history with dentists (including the bad experiences), medications, and what you actually want. Anxious? Say so — the pace adjusts to you.
The examination (10–15 min)
A thorough, gentle check of teeth, gums, bite and any problem areas — with a digital X-ray only if genuinely needed. Everything visible on screen, so you see exactly what she sees.
Plain-language findings (10 min)
What's healthy, what needs watching, what needs treating — explained in normal words with the images in front of you. Questions are welcome; jargon is not.
An honest plan & written costs
You leave with a clear plan: what's urgent, what can wait, what it costs — itemised, in writing. Zero pressure to book anything on the spot. If the honest answer is 'nothing needs doing yet', that's what you'll hear.
Bring along
What to bring (all optional)
- Any recent X-rays, reports or prescriptions you have
- A list of medications you take regularly
- Your previous dentist's records if handy (not essential)
- For kids: their favourite toy — it's welcome in the chair
